How to install Real player 11 Gold for Linux

Real Player 11 for Linux is the latest version released for Linux. It comes with some new features. One of it is 5.1 surround sound. Real player claim that it has better sound compare to the last version.
The installation is still the same with the old one.
Just download directly from the website: www.real.com/linux.

Open your Linux Terminal (Applications>Accessories>Terminal).
Go your download directory. It will depend on your browser setup. My download directory default is ‘new download‘.
So, I go inside. Check the RealPlayer installation file.
Change the access privilege using ‘chmod’.

Type $sudo ./RealPlayer11GOLD.bin to install the program and press ENTER to continue.

Set the RealPlayer directory. I set /opt/real/RealPlayer.

Press ‘F’ to start the installation process.

Open Applications>Sound&Video>RealPlayer 11.

It’s first installation screen, just click ‘Next’ button to continue.

If you have an internet connection, then you can click ‘Next’ button or ‘Skip’ if you don’t have it.

If you have an internet connection you can click ‘Perform Test’ button.
